Student Life
One of the most anticipated
events of the school year is the all-school trip to
Pine Summit Christian Camp up in Big Bear. This three-day,
two-night event, called School in the Mountains, sets
us apart from other schools. Students, faculty and staff
engage in Bible study, teambuilding activities and character
exercises that really challenge students to examine
their life and the direction they want to go. Students
come back from School in the Mountains feeling like
a family.
Spiritual Life
All students are required to attend Bible class twice
a week and Chapel once a week. Bible and Chapel lessons
are followed up on in small group settings. It is not
uncommon to see students and teachers praying together
and over one another. Our Inquirer’s Club is a
place where students can further grow in their relationship
with Christ. Two of our faculty members are pastors
and others have served Christ in the mission field.
Their influence and leading has had a significant impact
on our students and how they view their relationship
with Christ. Teachers are also encouraged and evaluated
on their integration of Christian principles and theology
in their curriculum.
Student Council
Student Council is WLAB’s student government.
Elected by their peers, Student Council coordinates
events which foster school spirit, teamwork and pride.
Their main event is the prom. The 2008 Prom will be
held at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel.
